Hello Everyone

It has been months since I came here.

How are all of you doing?

I am now a consular officer at the North Korean Embassy in Astana.

North-South Korea friendship party

Hello Friends!

Today we had a North-South Korea friendship party. It was a lot of fun and we kept politics out of it. The only problem we had was a small language barrier. The dialect from the South has evolved differently and has more Japanese and English words. So for such words, we used Russian.

It was a nice party and we also had friends from America, England, local Russians and Japanese. These foreigners had trouble eating red hot Korean food!

I wish world leaders could just get along like we did.

My First Guest

Friends!

I am proud to host my first visitor in North Korea ever. Soon, Ajay Kamalakaran will be visiting me and spending 5 days in my beautiful country. I can hardly contain my excitement.

So you will get a neutral account of my country soon.

Missing India
Related to country: India

What is it to be physically in 1 land and mentally in another?

I can still feel the soft evening breeze of the mountains of Palakkad. I can still smell the delicious aroma of Cochin's sea food curries. I can still see the light of an oil lamp being in the evening outside a house in Calicut.

A houseboat ride in Kumarakom. A walk on Kovalam beach at sunset. A prayer in a Guruvayurappa temple in Thiruvanthapuram at the crack of dawn.....

Where is my India? Where am I?

I am in this dull and colourless place with no heart and no soul. Why must I be in this place which was a political prision in Czarist Russia? Why must I be an Aziat, a stupid Korean in this white man's land?

That is life for now. Atleast I still dream of India
